While the Frederick Douglass Home had been a place where people came to honor the legacy of the great abolitionist, it was only the third site honoring an African American when it entered the national park system in 1962. Join us for a lecture by Dr. Amber Wiley that examines the history of historic house museums and the Douglass Home’s legacy within that framework.
