Events begin with the Women of Valor: The Six Triple Eight program, featuring retired colonel of the U.S. Army, Edna W. Cummings, Saturday, March 1st at 1:00 pm

The event will begin with an open house from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. that will allow guests to explore historical items associated with the Women’s Army Corps.
At 1 p.m., Edna W. Cummings, a retired Colonel of the U.S. Army and advocate for the Women’s Army Corps unit 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, will discuss the pioneering women of World War II and how their monumental efforts resulted in Congress awarding the 6888th a Congressional Gold Medal.
